After 5 years of original cultural programming and festivals in cinemas, the Cinewax association creates the first Cinewax Program Education , a series of turnkey educational programs (screenings & workshops in class) intended for schools and institutions to make people discover to the spectators of tomorrow Africa and its cultures.

Raising awareness of African cultures through cinema
THE PROJECT
The Cinewax Education Program is aimed at students in schools, colleges and high schools, but also users of institutions and other organizations (town halls, media libraries, associations, etc.).
The target audience ranges from 6 to 18 years for schools, and up to 25 years and over for organizations in the educational and institutional network.
Cinewax offers a selection of over 40 films from across the African continent, from the Maghreb to South Africa. We have also selected French films made by filmmakers with African origins.

OUR GOALS
- Promote inclusion and knowledge of others through the discovery of African cultures li>
- Create a cultural bridge between countries and young spectators through cinema
- Refine the critical mind of the youngest through educational activities and reflections on films
- Encourage public speaking and initiative through group work and cinema workshops
- Promote open-mindedness, by confronting young people with distant social realities li >
- Ask students about their position as citizens in France and in the world
- Raise awareness on issues of discrimination, representation and gender in particular
CINEWAX RECRUITS VOLUNTEERS
- Institutional relations manager & amp; institutions
Demarcation of establishments (call and emails)
Establishment of purchase orders and logistical follow-up
Invoicing follow-up
- In charge of speakers
Follow the logistics of the sessions and make the link between the speaker and the person in charge of the session
Maintain the relationship with the speakers and animate our promotion
Manage the schedule of trainings and interventions
P Volunteer stations for approximately 6h to 10h per week. Remote work
Themes designed by level and adapted to school programs
Through our programs we address general themes related to the school curriculum, such as Youth in Africa, Migrations, Memories of slavery , African History (s) ( s) ...
We provide educational files to allow the teacher and the tutor to build sessions that will be useful to the 'current student.

OUR SESSIONS AND INTERVENTION MODULES
We designed an intervention module of 6 hours, composed of 3 sessions of 2 hours, with the screening of the film (s), a debate on the theme, followed by a classroom workshop, and a presentation of the student group work.
